Physical Education Teacher

Freshsteps Independent School is an OFSTED graded ‘outstanding’ independent alternative provision. The school caters for pupils aged 5-16 years who have SEMH / SEN. We have exciting new opportunities available at our school to work with pupils with SEMH. We wish to recruit an experienced PE teacher to lead our PE curriculum in both our primary and secondary phases. 

The role involves teaching small, mixed ability classes of roughly 5 - 10 pupils at a time. All groups will have at least 1 additional assistant.  We are looking for teachers with experience of teaching pupils with SEMH and who can plan and teach, exciting and engaging lessons. We are also looking for a team player, who works well with others and who wants to be part of a very diverse and vibrant team.

KS2 SEMH Teacher (mixed year 3 and year 4)

Freshsteps Independent School is an OFSTED graded ‘outstanding’ independent alternative provision. The school caters for pupils aged 5-16 years who have SEMH / SEN. We have exciting new opportunities available at our school to work with pupils with SEMH/ special educational needs. Due to internal promotions of current staff, we wish to recruit a KS2 SEMH class teacher to join us within our primary phase.

The role involves teaching a class of maximum 6 pupils. All classes have at least 1 classroom assistant.  We are looking for teachers with experience of teaching pupils with SEMH and who can plan and teach, exciting and engaging hands-on lesson. We are also looking a team player, who works well with others and who wants to be part of a very diverse and vibrant team.

SENCO with PSHE Teaching Responsibility

Freshsteps Independent School is an OFSTED graded ‘outstanding’ independent alternative provision. The school caters for pupils aged 5-16 years who have SEMH / SEN. We have an exciting new opportunity available at our school to work with pupils with SEMH/ special educational needs. We wish  recruit an experienced SENCO to join us during this exciting time of expansion and progress.

We are looking to appoint a SENCO to ensure the Special Education Needs (SEN) provision is effectively and efficiently managed and coordinated across the site and that all legal requirements in respect of students with special education needs are being met.  The majority of the pupils at FreshSteps have an EHCP and  we are looking for an individual who is keen to ensure that every one of our pupils has the access to the support that they need.

This role includes a PSHE teaching responsibility of 25-30% of your timetable.
