Construction

FreshSteps offer an extensive construction course working out in the community 2-4 days a week. You will be taught a range of health and safety and technical training designed exclusively for the house-building industry.  

Students engaged in a Supported Internship Program and Traineeship in construction to encourage our students to step into the working world. The work placement gives everyone the opportunity to use their skills they learnt in the studio and put into practice. 

All our courses are tailored to the individuals’ needs, ranging from Pre-entry to Level 3, depending on the student’s ability. Courses will help students build their knowledge and expertise. All courses offer practical, useful learning regardless of your role. 

Our AQA award scheme theorical assessments are demonstrated through our practical experience learnt out on the field. All delivered by the training professionals covering the following: 

Health and Safety in the construction industry 

Plastering 
Plumbing
Carpentry  
Painting and decorating  

Our trainers are all experts in their field, with over 20 years in the house-building industry as well as being excellent trainers. They are excited to share their real-life experiences and practical knowledge with our students and support them in building their own careers in the construction industry.
